Step 1:
The first uses IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) and the Cynosure Icon Max G system to reduce pigmentation. IPL uses very fast pulses of light to damage melanin or blood cells in the skin, after which the body can shed them as waste.

What is fractional laser skin resurfacing?
Fractional laser skin resurfacing can be used to treat a number of skin conditions, with minimal downtime. The ICON 1540 laser delivers heat to the deeper layers of the skin, which initiates the body's natural healing process to promote new collagen and elastin production. The new collagen and elastin help to improve skin tone and texture, while also helping to revolumize the skin.
Fractional skin resurfacing with the 1540nm erbium laser is much safer and avoids the side effects and complications associated with non-fractionated lasers.
What downtime is involved?
Most clients experience minimal downtime, with some mild redness and swelling for a few days. Since these treatments are fractionated and less invasive, 3-5 sessions are generally recommended for full results, performed every 4-6 weeks.
When will I notice results?
Many clients will see a positive change within 3-8 weeks after the first treatment. Optimal results usually occur after 2 to 3 months, which allows for complete healing and replacement of new collagen and elastin.
Results vary with individual factors and can be enhanced using recommended home products and excellent sun protection.
How many treatments will I need?
The ICON 1540 treatments are more effective if performed in a series of sessions.
Each session treats approximately 20 – 25 % of the skin and clinical studies indicate that an effective treatment regimen involves 3 to 5 treatments, 4-6 weeks apart.
