How IPL Works
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) delivers controlled pulses of light energy to the skin, where it is absorbed by pigment and hemoglobin (in blood vessels). This energy breaks down discoloration, diffuses redness, and stimulates collagen production—resulting in clearer, smoother skin over time.
Most clients need a series of treatments (typically 3–6 sessions) spaced 3–4 weeks apart for optimal results. And yes, we customize the wavelength, intensity, and filter to match your skin.

ThreeForMe™ Combo Treatment
Starting at $650 (Available for Face & Face + Neck)
This power protocol combines ICON 1540 Laser Resurfacing with IPL Photofacial to treat three major skin concerns in one treatment:
- Fine lines + wrinkles
- Sun damage + pigmentation
- Facial veins or redness
One treatment, triple the glow. Fewer sessions, more results.
-
Step 1:
The first uses IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) and the Cynosure Icon Max G system to reduce pigmentation. IPL uses very fast pulses of light to damage melanin or blood cells in the skin, after which the body can shed them as waste.
-
Step 2:
After IPL treatment, the Cynosure 1540XD fractional laser performs non-ablative laser resurfacing to stimulate collagen and elastin production through heat, naturally tightening and lifting the skin over time.
-
Step 3:
The third step uses the 1540 XF laser, which performs the final touches on lightening and brightening the skin, as well as improving the skin’s tone and texture. This process requires minimal downtime and saves time you would otherwise spend on three separate sessions.

ICON™ IPL vs. ICON™ 1540 Laser Resurfacing: What’s the Difference?
Think of IPL as your brightening filter, while ICON 1540 is your resurfacing tool.
+ ICON IPL Photofacial uses light to target pigment, redness, and bacteria. It works at a more surface level and is amazing for tone correction and calming inflammation.
+ ICON 1540 Laser Resurfacing goes deeper—using fractional laser beams to stimulate collagen, reduce scarring, improve fine lines, and change skin texture from the inside out. Learn more about this treatment here.
IPL = Color Correction
1540 = Texture + Structural Correction
